About Me

What is: "The Geiger Project"When not trying to fill the role of Citizen-X, Y or Z. When not working to blend in with common society. When not schooling to further my education, to claim my own personal plot of earth. I am on my back on the ground staring at the ceiling with a pair of studio monitor headphones listening to tracks, editing, mixing, and recording.
I am Epic_Elite and ethereal mass of irrelevant proportions. Merged and devoid of space indistinguishable from the ground beneath and the space around, surrounded by a realm ofmass extinction, no more relevant than time.
3 bombs where created. The "Little Boy", the "Skinny Man," and the "Fat Man." The Little Boy was merely a test subject, dropped in a vacant dessert in a seemingly irrelevant location. TheSkinny Man and the Fat Man had much more planned for their destiny. Nagasaki and Hiroshima will forever be printedin grade school textbooks.
Einstein was quoted as to saying. "I don't know the type of weapons will be used in World War III, but World War IVwill be fought with sticks and stones"...
It has been theorized based on the evidence created from the study of the impact and magnitude of these three bombsthat It will take 16 nuclear warheads to end all life on this planet. This is when Fat Man was the biggest bombmade, which it no longer is. 32 bombs are recorded in existence this day, not including the miscellaneous fewfloating about on the black market.
The Christians believe that the earth has ended once already, doused in water and drowned. Soon to come will be thesecond and final phase, to be singed in flame and burned; I just pray we not use this as an excuse, orjustification for a nuclear holocaust.
The Mayan's had created a calendar that to this day is only 30 seconds off from NASA's atomic clock. They believedthat the Earth has 5 cycles, of which we are on the final. The last days will be in the year 2013.
Regardless of religion or race, governments around the world associate "power" with ones proficiency in the art ofmurder. Yet, we do not call it murder when it's in the context of war. We make it beautiful, we call it"Liberation" we call it "Freedom".
A 12-megaton nuclear missile is no longer "good enough," because our neighbor has a 15-megaton bomb. Strategicuses of suitcase bombs are not nearly good enough, when we only need 16 bombs to inherit the earth.
No poker face, just blatant and belligerent. Slowly we are designing an ultimate weapon capable of ending all thatever was.
..One single bomb
And here I am, lying on my back exploring alternate planes of extinction. Thisis: "The Geiger Project"the pics are links to a full size image

I grew up somewhere inMinnesota, as a child I spent most of my time listening to classics like Sting or something like the Dire Straits.I Never realy got into music, or atleast I never found anything I could actually FEEL, largely I belive being achild rendered me incapable of obtaining a sense of emotion derived from music, the strenght of a beat.

I turned 13. My brother would play music for me. whatever was trendy at the time. he showed me White Zombie,Metallica. I wasn't feelin' it. Ice cube, Ice-T, Salt'N' Peppa. Still, I wasn't having it.

Then a man died. His name is redundant to any one who listens to music. We grow tired of hearing his name. Or dowe? When a legand dies, the rights to his music pass on to another individual or establishment. He worked hardfor his money. but now it was time for someone else to use this opportunity to make money off of his death, as weare seeing with Johnny Cash right now.

He was more famous in his death than in life. But this is the first time I've actually FELT music. I grewinterested in bands like Bush, Silverchair, the Smashing Pumpkins. The more I dug the more I grew into this nextbig thing. "Grunge" they called it. Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots, Pearljam; I loved Pearljam.

Deeper I dug. NiN. White Zombie, I started to feel for bands I already knew but didn't understand. Alice in fuckingchains! Sepultura now Soulfly. Machine Head. In high school my favorite band was Korn whom I no longer care for. I started to find more obscure bands like Skin Lab, a long time personal favorite

I began to appreciate the simplicity of a redundant beat when I hit the rave scene. I've always been an activeparticipant of the counter culture. Never following trends, always designing trends. I'll stay ahead of the rest atall times, and I'll stop to break the day I die.

Growing up in Minnesota, I was exposed to a large array of Heavy, hardcore, music, as bands like American HeadCharge spawn and grow around me. Fear Factory now has all thier music produced in Minnesota.

I joined a band in high school. something like alterna-goth. think the anti-creed. I dabbled with variousinspirations, even psychadelia!

After high school I moved to San Francisco. Industrial, black/dark/death metal is huge there. INDUSTRIAL! this isthe love of my life. I found old inspirations and new outlets in these bands. KMFDM, Skinny Puppy and Waxtraxrecords. Through all that is divine, the blood that flows through my veins is rust and water.

I have always been strangely obsessed with industrialism, from welding in jr high. to eventually earning andadvanced certificate in college. To rockin' out to loud crashing steel drums mixed with samples and loops. This,my friend, is the life.

I live in Portland now. I have a 2 bedroom apt. room no. 2 = PsuedoStudio. short story short...

Sounds Like: maybe this is another way of asking of my influences? sounds like something that sucks if it where good... or perhaps the other way around? The Industrial Era (EP) has a hard techno/industrial feel to it... I like to dork around with the vox and do crazieness to them. things are more fun when you sound like a monster.... or even a fairy for that matterIf I had to describe my sound (wich I shouldn't have to, seeing as how you are listening to it yourself right now.) I would says its a little more like Depeche Mode and less like sertain elements of Tool. I have a deversified taste in music and throw in a few elements of experimentalism and world music vibes as well. Can you hear the water drums? Thiers a hook in the interlude to "I Used to Think" that reminds me of something like Thievery Corporation.I think I Hollar like Burton C. Bell of Fear Factory, if he got kicked in the throat when he was thirteen, and his voice stayed that way. And I think I sing like the dude from Radiohead if he had laryngitis.
