About Me

.. Sum Of Its Parts is the nexus of progressive art and anger. Our music grows out of our interest in heavy music that is rhythmically driven, emotionally potent and artfully crafted. We are unafraid of generic boundaries or the limits of convention. We are in a constant journey through the normal and the insane, defying expectations, taking detours and sneering at power.
Sum looks around at the world today and sees corrupt governments engaging in unnecessary wars, hypocrisy at all levels of society, deteriorating culture, the erosion of freedom in "free nations," the rise of an Orwellian Big Brother and the integration of fundamentalist religions and governments which causes the disintegration of our most precious ability: reason.
Fuck magical thinking and the destruction it brings. We mock your rapture and your conjugal visits with a sea of virgins in heaven.
Metal isn't the cult of death.
Fundamentalist Christianity, Judaism, Islam and Hinduism are the cults of death. THEY ARE ONE CULT OF DEATH!
WE DECLARE AN INSURRECTION!
