Perez Trop Ska

Trop Ska le Perez ? Nourris au ska anglais des Madness, Specials, mais aussi au manifeste punk, ils sont dans la mouvance bordeline des Wampas, Marcel et son orchestre ... Les PTS chantent en français des hymnes à la joie, la révolte, en cultivant l'art du second degré et du slogan qui vise juste.

Perez Trop Ska est né à Aix en Provence en 1998. Les PTS se font très vite une réputation perchés sur des camions lors des manifs des lycéens et des étudiants, traversant Marseille dans l'allégresse générale au point d'être cités dans le journal de Claire Chazal. En 1999 ils partent sur les routes et partagent la scène avec L'Orchestre national de Barbés, 100 % collégues, Dolly. Dans la foulée ils enregistrent leur premier opus modestement intitulé "Perez Trop Ska" suivra en 2003 "Nature peinture" deux albums auto-produit.
Le concept est simple et imparable, des chansons , au second degré, souvent engagées, sur des rythmes ska, rock, parfois reggae. Ils savent qu'un groupe se rode avec de la sueur et du bitume, groupe de scène ils ne ménagent pas leur force, au café du commerce, puis dans des salles de plus en plus grandes. Dans les festivals ils se font remarquer auprès de Sinsemilia, Tryo, Caméléon , Skatalites...

L'histoire continue et prend de l'ampleur, l'audience augmente.
Le précédent album "Lâchez-moi!" a été un nouveau pas vers un public plus large. Avec "Ska City" les Perez placent la barre encore plus haut!

Much too ska the Perez ? Nurtured on Madness and Specials British ska but also on punk music, the band is just in the style of the Wampas, Marcel et son Orchestre and some other jolly fellows.

These Clash, Mano Negra and Plastic Bertrands spiritual sons, these rocks children sing odes to joy and rebellion in French, while cultivating the art of understatement, of slogans which score a bullseye. No doubt the future is into their own hands.
Perez Trop Ska was born in Aix en Provence in 1998. They soon acquired a good reputation thanks to the performances they gave when they were perched up on pickup trucks during the demonstrations of students that went through Marseilles with elation, which attracted the attention of the 8 o clock TV news. In 1999 they started a tour and performed with the Orchestre National de Barbès, 100% Collègues and Dolly. While at it, they recorded their first opus simply called Perez Trop Ska and then Nature peinture in 2003, two albums they produced themselves.
The concept is simple and unquestionable: it consists in songs very often committed and peppered with understatements, to the rhythm of ska, rock and sometimes reggae. They know perfectly well that a band has to get into its stride, by the sweat of its brows and on the road. As a stage band, they have spared no effort in pubs and then in bigger and bigger rooms. They have drawn attention in different festivals performing with Sinsemilia, Tryo, Caméléon, and Skatalites.

The story is going on, broadening its own horizons and holding a higher interest for the audience.
The last album "Lâchez-moi!" was a new step toward a larger audience. With their new album "Ska City", the Perez raise the bar higher.
