FAZA

Cala historia ma swój poczatek w 1993 roku. Wtedy to FAZA 40 i 4 dala swój pierwszy koncert we Wroclawiu. Pod ta nazwa grupa egzystowala przez 4 lata grajac mnóstwo koncertów w Polsce oraz za granica. Faza 40 i 4 zapisala sie w kartach historii polskiego ska dzieki niesmiertelnemu „przejdz sie na pieszo”, który to kawalek pojawil sie na skladance "PolSKA Norma" (Rock'n'Roller Editions), oraz piosence „zaskakujacy” (SKAdanka" - wydana przez czasopismo Machina). Do duzych sukcesów grupy nalezy zaliczyc wystepy w Niemczech u boku gwiazd: The Selecter, Monkey Shop, Mother’s Pride oraz koncert w Zgorzelcu wraz z nieistniejacym juz Skaferlatine (Francja). W roku 1997 zespól rozpadl sie na skutek permamentych problemów personalnych. Dobre czasy wrócily w 2004 roku, kiedy to perkusista - jednoczesnie zalozyciel FAZY 40 i 4 ponownie skompletowal sklad. Nazwa zostala skrócona, jednakze wciaz nawiazuje do dawnej dzialalnosci co poniektórych czlonków (z oryginalnego skladu pozostaly 3 dusze). Zespól od 2 lat preznie dziala próbujac po raz kolejny dokonac przelomu na polskiej scenie. Do tej pory FAZA nagrala (oraz wydala wlasnym sumptem) demo - singiel „A kto to tak to gra?” , oraz zagrala calkiem niemalo koncertów w tym 2 krótkie trasy koncertowe po Republice Czeskiej oraz Niemczech. Najwazniejsze wystepy to bardzo udany koncert na festiwalu „Mighty Sound” w czeskim Olsi u Tabora (wsród m.in. New York Ska-Jazz Ensamble, Skarface, Yellow Umbrella), oraz na „This is Ska” vol.9 w Rosslau (gdzie obok New York Ska-Jazz Ensamble zagral równiez El Bosso & Die Ping Pongs z Dr.Ring-Dingiem na czele), a takze wspólny koncert z niemieckimi legendami ska: Bluekilla i Skaos, oraz 2 niezwykle udane koncerty w Moskwie. Historia bogata, jednak...to nie koniec. Faza nie spoczywa na laurach. Miejmy nadzieje, ze w nastepnym roku bedziecie mogli uslyszec debiutancki pelny album zespolu...The whole story began in 1993. The band “FAZA 40 and 4” has played then its first gig in Wroclaw. During four years of its existence the group has played relatively large number of concerts both in Poland and abroad. To their most important contribution to the polish ska music history can be counted two songs: the immortal piece “przejdz sie na pieszo” (“go by foot”), which has appeared at the album "PolSKA Norma" (Rock'n'Roller Editions), and the song „zaskakujacy” (“surprising”) that has been put at “SKAdanka”, published by the “Machina” magazine. The concerts played in Germany together with the biggest stars like The Selecter, Monkey Shop, Mother’s Pride were the one biggest successes of the group, as well as the gig in Zgorzelec with the Skaferlatine (from France – do not exist any longer). Unfortunately, in 1997 the group disbanded itself due to the permanent personal problems among the members. Good times has come back in the year 2004 when the drummer (who has also founded the FAZA 40 and 4) revitalized the band. The original name , however shorted to “FAZA” remained together with 3 souls from the original group. Now the band has continuously been trying to make breakthrough on the polish ska scene for two years. Till now “FAZA” has recorded and published (on their own) the demo single “A kto to tak to gra” and has played a lot of concerts and the two short tours in Czech Republic and Germany. The most important and successful ones are : participation on the “Mighty Sound” festival in Olsi u Tabora (Czech Republic, among bands New York Ska-Jazz Ensamble, Skarface, Yellow Umbrella ), participation on “This is ska” festival in Rosslau, where they played together with the New York Ska-Jazz Ensamble and El & Die Ping Pongs (with Dr.Ring-Ding), and finally the common gig with german ska legends “Bluekilla” and “Skaos” plus two very successful gigs in Moscow. The story is elaborate, but… this is not the end yet. We hope that next year you will be able to hear our fist full album…
