ASPHALT BALLET was a group I was very fortunate to be lead vocalist in.Of course we worked very hard,and passed out tons of flyers on the Sunset Strip. Oh those days on the strip was a party. The hair,the attitutes,the fun.I remember the fire department coming to the area of The Roxy and Whiskey and hosin the place down to get the rockers to leave. We were wet and kept partian. It was a great time. A dream come true. Asphalt Ballet was signed to Virgin Records in 1990. The group had 3 videos on MTV and toured the world. Similarities to Guns and Roses,The Cult,Tesla,Metalica. Asphalt Ballet released their single My Souls Survives in 1991,the same day that Nirvana released Teen Spirit. Asphalt Ballets video of My Soul Survive was produced by Sam Beyer,the same producer that shot Teen Spirit for Nirvana. Matter of fact the two videos were shot about one month a part. Soul Survives won The Ballbuster contest featuring Rick Rockman 7 times. Beating such groups as The Cult,Tesla, Infectious Grooves,Corrosion of Comformity to name a few. Asphalt Ballet was considered to be the group that could have takin the crown away from Guns and Roses in LosAngeles.But unfortunately the "grunge"became the new trend.. And everything else became history. I have released 7 cd's since then . I'm currently recording a new cd for my new group called Alligator Stew,which you can find on myspace.com/alligatorstew. We also have a video on our web page.I will be changin this site every so often,just to keep you informed of whats happening. Along with Alligator Stews cd,I'm working in pre production on my first solo cd. It will be bluesy,southern styled rock. It will have a few edgier tunes and be very free flowin.
