Freedom
Anybody who appreciates life, and doesnt tell others how to live theirs.
Black Sabbath, Fleetwood Mac, Peter Green, The Doors, Rush, Bob Welch, Buckingham + Nicks, Lou Reed... All good Rock, metal, blues... 60's stuff like The Beatles, Stones, Yardbirds, Hendrix etc... 50's rock like Chuck Berry. Trad metal, 70's rock like Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Rainbow... Stevie Ray Vaughan and his brother Jimmie, Freddie King... Black Sabbath to Elmore James. A bit of Maiden, early Metallica or Megadeth... I like too much stuff to list it all. Anything and everything really, but my heart and soul is in rock n' roll! ;-)Did I mention Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young? And all their various permutations ;-)
This Is Spinal Tap, any Cheech and Chong movie... Any good comedy.
I dont watch that much these days. I used to really like "Freaks and Geeks" when that was on, shame it didnt last. The Simpsons was the best for a long-ass time, but its hit-and-miss these days. Family guy... Too many shit sitcoms now that are all the same. The Sopranos, great show! I liked Married With Children back in the day. Thats what a sitcom should be like, it shouldnt take itself too seriously!
The Dharma Bums, The I Chong (by Tommy Chong), On The Road... I read Cats Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut recently. Pretty impressive.
Myself, Cheech and Chong... Too many to mention, covering many areas of human activity.Bill Hicks, or any great comedian/artist who wasnt afraid to tell the truth or piss a few people off for a good reason. In music, Tony Iommi, The Beatles, Jeff Beck... too many to list, covering many different styles. Maybe I dont have any heroes...
