About Me

I'm affectionately known as a jackass by friends and family...I'm hardly ever serious, although I'm quiet around new folks(sometimes).. I'm a musician, I've played drums for 27 years now, and was very close to a degree in music at one point. I'm too old to be changed, so I'm pretty set in my ways by now, but that doesn't mean that I'm not able to try new things and learn, it just means that I'm a little more selective about what I will get into.My biggest passion in life is music.. I really feel that if it wasn't for music, I would be in a lot of trouble somehow. Its something that is so important to me that I've made major life decisions based on weither or not things were going to keep me from playing or not, be it drugs, drinking, sports-whatever; if it would in some way lead to me not being to play, I shy away from it.Currently I am playing in two groups, a high octane, dirty rock group called 'All-Time Highs!', founded by my good friend and musical partner Mikey and I, and a reggae/ska band called Justi-Fi. I've never played ska or reggae before, so for me its a great learning expeirience, and its a good time.....CACAPANTS!!!!!!!

My Interests

Nap times.....zzzz.... Music, live music as often as possible, but I'm getting lazy, and it needs to be a really good show. Now that I think about it - almost all of my interests have to do with music.... As most of my peeps know, I was in a group fpr a long time, had some minor success but those days are done, I'm over the trying to be a rockstar, well the business of it anyway-trying to 'make it'. Its all a mental thing now about carrying yourself like a rockstar, without actually being one.. hehe......Making sure my friends are good and safe, and spending time with family...... Other general random-ness: mexican food, talking shit, BMX bikes, chips and salsa, ground turkey, lasagna, hitting things with a stick(DRUMS!), mullets, people who use and abuse crank(not that I'm about it, its just that tweeks are hella funny), stand up comedy, URBAN COUGARS!!!!.....

Music:

Neurosis is the best band ever........I've found that although I like wide varity of music genres, I like very spefic types of that genre, for the most part. For example, I love metal, but mostly thrash style metal. I like punk, but only New York hardcore style. I like Jazz, but only be-bop, or fusion. ..and on and on.. I'm not a huge movie guy-in fact I often get turned off by the super hype machine blockbuster movie... My favorite movie all-time is 'Se7en'. 'Good Will Hunting' might be a close second... I also like any movie thats about music, like 'Ray', 'Walk the Line', or even that cheesy movie 'That Thing You Do'....

Television:

'THe Shield' is my fav series... I like the way FX does those series too, they show them all in a row, repeat them troughout the week , and the have no breaks from week to week..... 'Rescue Me', 'Deadwood', 'ER', 'South PArk', 'That 70s Show', and most things on the Discovery Channel, Animal Planet and the History Channel....
