A Brief History - Started learning guitar at the age of six and switched to bass at 11. I was 10years old when I got my first pair of bongos . At 18 I moved to London from Portugal, and gradually got involved in several bands. I’ve had the great honour to have recorded and/ or played with bands and musicians from a wide range of musical styles, such as Airto moreira, Dom Um Romao, Zero 7, Tony Remy, Basement jaxx, Sammy Figueroa, Robbie Ameen, Silhouette Brown, Kaidi Tatham (Agent K), Modeste Hughes (Madagascar), Dele Sosimi, Chieko Kimbara, Bosco De Oliveira, Oswaldo Chacon, Ive Mendes, Yasmin Levy, Reel People, Smoke City, Sly & Robbie and Many other great musicians and bands. I also co-wrote and recorded the album ‘ songs from the tin’ (with Liliana Chachian and Dalata), and the ground breaking Arakatuba album ‘Brazilian Explosion’ (with Bosco De Oliveira ). For the last two years I've mainly been touring alot with the basement jaxx, and I'm currently in the process of recording my own album. I am an endorser of TOCA percussion and SABIAN cymbals.
