Sounds Like:This grunge-tinged alt rock explosion will leave you wrung out on rock-and-roll – and completely happy. This is an act fueled by unique creative energy, a band out to share its own unique vision of the aural arts. Joel Friedman (guitar), Athan Anas (bass), Jesse Satterfield (drums) and Brian Sutton (vocals) are ready to change the way you think about music.Hectors Revenge wants to give you goosebumps. Because, according to these musicians, that's the definition of good music. "Simply put, good music gives us goosebumps. If we hear a good riff or vocal melody, etc., it makes our hair stand on end." And that's the kind of juice you'll get out of each song in the Hectors Revenge canon.Hectors Revenge was formed in May of 2005. The musicians comprising this act got together and set out to fulfill one destiny – write good music, offering the audience top notch, professional musicianship and songs that remain in the audience's mind long after being heard. While including a few cover songs in their sets, Hectors Revenge is about crafting solid, original tunes, written from the heart and avoiding categorical pigeonholing. "If we inspire one person or a million people to go out and create something positive with the experience they had from a show or song, then the sole purpose of our music has been fulfilled."Hectors Revenge cleaned up with their show at Dreamstreet Live in Ocean Beach, CA, played as part of their participation in the Emergenza Music Festival. From there it was on to semi-finals, held at Brick By Brick in San Diego, where the band took first place again. In June, the band will play the finals. Hectors Revenge has been featured on 103.7 San Diego, presented on the Frosty, Heidi and Frank show. The "Should I Stay or Should I Go" segment of the show offers callers the chance to vote for or against a band; Hectors Revenge nabbed an eye-opening seven out of seven "yes" votes. The group will be opening for The Morning Riot at a "Sweet 18th Birthday" party in May. Hectors Revenge is planning a tour, slated to start in San Diego and head for Sacramento, with as many venues played in-between. The band is in the process of recording its first CD, a full-length. The street date is May 15. Hectors Revenge is currently working with A&R Select, the leading indie A&R firm in Hollywood, CA."Congratulations is due to Hectors Revenge for finding an original style in a saturated industry." - A&R Select
