....Rock'n'roll is a Lifestyle

About Me

The Jones Bones' story begins in 2001 in Darfo (bs), a city in Northern Italy. The original line up was Luca Ducoli (guitar) and Andrea Bellicini (vox-bass). The band's musical influences were sixties and seventies rock bands (Rolling stones, Stooges, Who, Velvet Underground, New York Dolls) and classic rock-blues artists (Chuck Berry, Little Richard, T-Bone William, John Lee Hooker). They then added their own punk style to the blend. In the next two years TheeJonesBones relaesed two demos, played many different gigs all over Northern Italy and changed drummers 5 times. In spring 2003 the band decided to split up. Bellicini wanted to carry on his solo project and Ducoli wanted to take a break from music for personal reasons. After two years of silence Ducoli decided to reform TheeJonesBones. The problem was that he had some new stuff to play but no one band to play with. After six long months of auditions, it seemed like finding a partner would be impossible. However, in June of 2005, he met a young drummer called Mauro Gambardella through a mutual friend. After a couple of rehearsals it was clear that this was the long-awaited second half of Theejonesbones. Thee Jones Bones is now formed by Luca Ducoli (vox-guitar) and Mauro Gambardella (Drum-vox). They play loud rock n roll influenced by modern bands like The Blues Explosion, Bob Log III, Black Keys and Black Crows, and classic rock bands such as Rolling Stones, New York Dolls, and the Ramones. In December of 2005 TheeJonesBones their debut album in only two days' time. The album, ROCK N ROLL IS A LIFESTYLE was released in April 2006. In 2007, after endless gigs and much critical acclaim, Thee Jones Bones’ lineup changes yet again: Just before the duo were to begin recording on their new LP Mauro leaves for personal reasons… Enter skin pounder Michele Federici, Luca’s bandmate in the legendary garage punk outfit “i Cattivi” In April of 2007 the group will write the next chapter in their history, recording their second full length album, “Sticks and Stones”…. …to be continued…. www.myspaceeditor.it
