About Me

I'm a 53 year old black man (as of May 2007)from Houston, Texas. Academically trained as a social worker but currently working in higher eduaction as director of a student retention program and adjunct faculty where I teach African American Experience Through Theatre and Intro to African American Studies. Have been part of history as actor in the award winning play The Diary of Black Men, the grand daddy of the urban theatre circuit and longest running touring play in black theatre history. Have toured over 70 cities in U.S. and Canada as an actor.I played the role of "the Professor/Intellectual" Wrote snd directed play called CLASS which ran at Robert Deniro's Tribeca Theatre in New York. Has movie out I co-produced and co-directed called STREET TALES OF TERROR (Currently at Blockbuster and Hollywood Video). Directed film short TILL DEATH DO US PART which I also wrote and produced. You can see an excerpt of this short as well as STREET TALES in my blog above. Also seen as the character "Aw Shit" in the movie WATER RISING originally titled THE DESIRE is currently in video stores. My complete filmography can be seen at www.imdb.com under Franklyn J. Anderson. On a personal note, I consider myself to be intelligent,a good conversationalist, a better listener and single. I have 3 kids and am a single parent. At the time of this writing they are 16, 19, and 23.Enjoy listening to music, movies,cooking and conversing with someone special.
