About Me

BAC is a not-for-profit regional arts facility that has been serving the South Side for 40 years. It provides a multidisciplinary program of performing arts, film programming, art exhibits and a non-credit School of the Arts offering more than 125 classes in the visual arts, music, theater, fitness, dance and more.The Beverly Arts Center offers Chicago's only Irish Film Festival in March. Through an expanding educational outreach program, the Arts Center also provides artist-in-residence programs in local schools, a year-long drama class for Chicago high school students through the Chicago Public Schools Gifted and Talented Off-Campus Program, and affordable field trip opportunities for school groups. Music:

We have a 400 seat State-of-the-Art Theater. In the past we have had many top name acts such as:Graham Parker, 10,000 Maniacs, Commander Cody, Melvin Seals, POCO, Heartsfield, Fabulous Janes, Young Dubliners, Janis Ian, Leon Redbone, Lonnie Brooks, Gloria Shannon, John Waite......Upcoming Shows include:South Side Alumni, Rob Becker's "Defending the Caveman", New Riders of the Purple Sage, Canned Heat, the subdudes, "Cotton Patch Gospel", "Hizzoner", Roger McGuinn of the Byrds, Chris Smither, George Winston....

Movies:

BACinema offers movies every Wednesday @ 7:30pm. Tickets are $7/$5 BAC Members. Popcorn $1!BACinema is a unique mix of international independant, first-run and classic films. The Chicago Irish Film Festival screens the best of Ireland's feature films, documentaries, shorts and animated movies every March. Also held annually: Polish Film Festival, First Nations Film Festival and The Chicago International Children's Film Festival.

Television:

No TV. Leave your house and experiece a world of art in your own backyard!
