About Me

Yes... let's see. My name is Candice/ Paige/ Whatever the hell people are calling me these days, and I'm a freshman at Westminster Choir College pursuing at BA in music with a vocal concentration (although I intend on switching to music education post-haste). I am the process of relearning piano for my degree, along with learning guitar and recorder (so I can teach it...). In the next four years I will also have to dabble in strings, winds, percussion, and brass for music ed. And for my own enjoyment, I'm attempting to learn mandolin. Yes, sometimes I do question my sanity. But, in all seriousness, I absolutely love college.

I'm also quite the peace-loving tree hugger.... it's in my blood.. it must be, I lived in the south for 17 years and they couldn't change my ways....

And that is all!

My Interests

Music of any sort, Reading, Soccer, Singing, writing, dancing, running around like a maniac, nature, pretending that I can write poetryMONTY PYTHON!!!!!, and art

You get the picture...

I'd like to meet:

A politician that isn't a liar, stupid, and/or annoying.

Edit: Nevermind. Such a person does not exist.

Music:

Yes, Kansas, Journey, Sarah McLachlan, Greenday (the old stuff), Denali, Coldplay, Belle and Sebastian, Metric, Copeland, Saves the Day, Ambulette, James Tayor, Kenny Loggins, Ella Fitzgerald, Manhatten Transfer, etc.

As you can see, I like a very eclectic mix of musical styles. these are some of my favorites, I'm sure there's more, but I just can't think of anything right now. I can say this much: I'll listen to pretty much anything once.

Movies:

Monty Python and the Holy Grail is a masterpiece! I also love The Neverending Story, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and some newer movies like Big Fish, the Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Life Aquatic, and something else that I'm sure I'll think of eventually

Television:

Television...? What is this television you speak of?

Books:

Lord of the Rings, the Wheel of Time series, Books by Anne McCaffrey or L. E. Modesitt, The Tao of Pooh, Life of Pi, If You Meet the Buddha on the Road, Kill Him!, The Wizards of Odd, Poetry books, and Shakespeare
