Hi! Welcome to my mycrap page! I've never really liked writing bios much and this is no exception. I don't think I'm really very interesting, but obviously you came here expecting to find out about me. I'll try my best not to let you down too much.

My name is Mike Beard and I currently reside in Edmonton , Canada. My alias, Col. Panic, is a riff on the unix equivalent of a system crash, otherwise known as a " Kernel panic ." Did I mention that I'm a computer/synth geek? I have seven computers, four synths, two cats, many fish, and a beautiful wife who goes by the name Claudia.

For the past five years or so I've been active in Edmonton's underground industrial music scene with my solo project Coded. I've opened for various influential industrial bands in that time such as Mlada Fronta, Mimetic, Combichrist, Decree, Zombie Girl, Moonitor, and I even performed a live one-off cover of A Flock of Seagulls "I Ran" with Assemblage 23's Tom Shear.

I'm currently working on another project called IRATA which has a more dancy electro vibe than Coded. Less harsh blatant angst/anger, more dancy robot pop with a penchant for 1980's analog synthesizers. Our first track is about a girl who falls in love with a drum machine.

Wow! For a guy who doesn't think he's very interesting I sure have a lot to say about myself.

Nathan Fillion is one of my newest myspace friends! He's going to get me a kickass part on a cool TV show ;) Yup. Nathan (can I call you Nathan, Nathan?) and I are really tight! He's like second or third cousins with a girl I know! (no really... he is!) I know that between Nathan and George (Strombolopolous... I can call your George.. right George? BTW George's my other new friend) They can hook an Edmonton brother up with some acting gigs! I even went to an acting workshop when I was six so I know a lot more than someone like Val Kilmer (not that I don't totally respect that stuff he does either...) and he's a full fledged movie star!

So to recap...(1) I have some myspace friends who are slightly more famous than me. (2) We're really tight. (3) No, really, we are! (4) Nathan is gonna hook me up with an acting gig! (5) No, Really!

I stole this theme from somewhere on the interweb. and think it looks dandy. It likely violates some agreement about letting mySpew advertise or somesuch so if my profile disapears sorry.. The original color schemes can be found here . The layout has some minor issues with IE, Safari, and Opera. Can I recommend Firefox or Flock ? Use Intercrap Explorer as a last resort.
