The KONSENTIA project was born in 1998 with the precise attempt to create a music made by two completely different elements : The traditional calabrian (and Mediterranean) linguistic and musical culture and contemporary electronical music.
From the very beginning the band starts working on its own compositions and the readaptation of traditional popular songs such as "briganti si mora".
The production of the first demo tapes,made in the recording studio of the singer of band (the SUD STUDIO DIGITAL SOUND), puts the project to the attention of several record houses, Until 1999 when the CNI (compagnia nuove indye of Rome, which already produces bands like "Almamegretta", "Agricantus", "Nidi d'arac", wants konsentia to be one of its pupils.
In the summer of 2000 the band faces an important tour in the south oh italy having a great success between people and critics.
In October the band starts the recording of a new demo which is very appreciated by most of the italian producers. But it is in March of 2001 that the band was called by Paolo Dossena, from the C.N.I. , for the production of their first album.
The album is sell in stores since December 2001, when a long series of concerts,to promote their new work,starts all around italy, with a new components set: Angelo Sposato, voice and programmings, Tiziano Sposato, guitars, Claudio Campesi, drums, Marco Verteramo,bass, DJ Kerò, programmings and live set .
The music style that comes out the album can be defined just by a word:"Elettroetnika ",which let us understand the infinite stilistic aspects that we can find in the band us music: from drum' n' bass to jungle ,to dub to the more extreme electronical music.
Because of the attention that critics and press have always had for them,the band is nowadays one of the most representative reality of the new italian alternative music scene,thanking also the smashing and impacting shows they offer to their audience.
