Maybe it's because I'm a Londoner...

About Me

Don't really like talking about myself....
Born to Italian immigrants, it ain't been easy finding my vibe. That's prob why I love so many types of music, food and people. I'm glad they moved, met and lived in London tho. I was brought up on the Notting Hill Carnival route so remember the smell of the BBQs, the colours of costumes, fat bass of the systems and the driving beat of the Soca.

Dad played guitar, mum sang and played recorder. This is how I first learnt music, and how I still prefer to learn, informally.

After that we went east to Dalston where I played drums and guitar for a few rock bands n got into jazz a bit too.

Went on to study music but was more into the playing than anything else that comes with academia (still can't sightread!!). I did discover lots of different sounds which I'm still exploring today.

I spend most of my time playing/singing with Afro-Peruvian band Calle Limon , Rhythms of the City and writing my own stuff. Also help out artists from the F-ire collective. I play the guitar, sing, some percussion (mainly cajon) and make the PC work HARD! Am into some pretty off-the-scales stuff like electro-acoustic music, I love getting right into a sound and playing with its insides.

And, I teach guitar and music tech in a secondary school - some serious lady beatmakers forming.
