I am here for Friends

About Me

Born and raised in the backwoods of Maine, I grew up in the cold North East. After high school (and a couple years of just living) I moved out to Ohio to meet my then sweetheart and unbeknownst to me, my soon-to-be wife. She’s been good to me, and I’m thankful for that. I’m still trying to live up to her standards, but I think every husband is in that stage until they give up the ghost.

I’ve got an Associate’s Degree for Software Applications and Programming from ITT Technical Institute, and have been working as a web developer since mid-2004. I am also a Sunday School teacher with my beautiful wife. We teach 6-9 year olds, and have a blast doing it.

I have been serving God since 2002, and I couldn’t be happier. Every day has it’s challenges, but I find comfort in His word, strength when I pray, and love whenever I stop life to think on Jesus. I’m glad I am where I am at. I believe in the power of His love that gives us the glorious hope of His resurrection. Someday, we’ll all see that there’s more to this world than what we think we know, because I’m still learning that day after day.

Mark 12:30-31 30 “And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.” 31 “And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.”

I can only hope to one day make heaven, and I’d like to let as many people as I can know about how good living for God is and how awesome He is to us.

My Interests

Being a servant - like Jesus. Worshiping God. Teaching others. Playing the guitar. Web Development (yes, I do like my job).

I'd like to meet:

Jennifer Knapp - Wow, did I miss a gem or what? She would have been great to see in concert and I'd love to pick her brain. Here's hoping she's still using her talent for God's glory! Go check out jenniferknapp.com

Nichole Nordeman - I've already met her once, and I'd like to meet her again, but I'd love to be able to sit down with her and just talk. If you have no idea who this amazing performer is, visit nicholenordeman.com and listen to some of her music. She's easily the most illustrative singer-songwriter I've ever been blessed to meet.

Donald Miller - A great author that simply has an interesting take that is all too clear, too simple, and just plain biblically based to be ignored. This gentleman can write with the best of them, and he absolutely gets my vote for favorite author. Check out donaldmillerwords.com and see for yourself.
