About Me

I grew up in Williamsburg, VA, studied music and anthropology at University of Virginia. I was a founding member of Old School Freight Train, and played with that group from 2000-2006. We toured and performed with David Grisman, and recorded 3 CDs.I teach banjo lessons at UVA, and also independently.Besides playing banjo, I play old-time fiddle, guitar and mandolin.

Band Members: Trio with Tristan Clarridge(cello, fiddle) and Tashina Clarridge(fiddle). Quartet with Clarridges and Margaret Glaspy (vocals). Duo with Pete Frostic(mandolin). We recorded an album called Wide Open.
