In 1999, at 19, Hazriq started digging up as much experience as he could in what he considers as an art of "Djing". With the support of a handful of friends it took less than a year for him to bless the dance floor appearing first in bars and small clubs, but music goes back a long way at age 13 when he was playing Bass-Guitar in a band. He fell in love ever since with the spell binding substance of bass lines. His influences today reflect that first intoxication with Funky, Tribal and Progressive House. When on the decks, it is hard to resist his provocative, rhythmic funky and uplifting bass-lines maturing his style in an ever lasting quest for perfection measured only by the smiles and shear enjoyment of the crowds he plays for. With influences going back to the likes of Francois K, Sneak, JayTripWire, Digweed, 16B, Anthony Pappa, Carl Cox, ATFC, Lee Burridge and Sander Kleinenberg, playlisting labels such as YoshiToshi, Stereo Productions, Beat Industries, Choo2 Records and Hypnotic Records to name a few, there's no doubt that this young talented dj has made name for himself over the past 7 years to reassure his ever growing status as a progressive house dj.He's experiences has led him to play International and in house gigs around KL. Clubs like SOHO @ Grappa, Frangi Pani, OHM, Spiral was getting their floors busy as Hazriq got on the decks. He also promoted "Obsession Hours" around the hottest clubs in KL, playing alongside Dj Azran, Alam, Roxy and Victor G from Obsession Events as residents of the Obsession weekly nights playing in Viva Dance Club, Nouvo @ Living Room and Bliss @ 12SI.A collaboration with Pure Substance Management in promoting Desyn Masiello & Luke Fair for the YOSHITOSHI 'In House We Trust' Asian Tour in 2003 @ Viva Dance Club, NuBreed & Danny Bonnici, MARA (ChooChoo Records), Stereo Movers for Kent Members Party in Bukit Tinggi, Deep Dish for Kent 2004 Series, Anthony Pappa in Element 2003 and Dave Seaman in 2002, Resident Advisor Tour 2003, Eric Entrena (Toro Records, ESP), Christian E.F.F.E & NIKI B (ITA) plus many more.Besides playing in most of the hottest clubs around KL, Hazriq also held a residency in Cochine @ Bar Savanh, Cream @ Renaissance for 'Euphoria'. Collaborated with Yansi (1945 Music Factory, K.L) and Dj Spinz (South Africa) promoting "Harmony", a monthly Tek-House event in Orange Dance Club with DJ Romy (1945MF, INA). Sugar Dance Club for Obsession's 'Resonance' & 'Circulation' 2006 series and SIXZEROTHREE Events 2006 'G-Spot' which he played alongside Victor G (Asian Pioneer Digital Champion), The GrooveDoctor (Msia) and Joey G (Channel V & CosmicSpaceMunkeys, Heineken Thirst Studio 2006 Champion). Played for the Tioman Island 48 hours Breakaway Party with Kid Kenobi (Australia) and Jay Cunning (UK). He also played for 'Sessions', a nite hosted by KL's top dj/producer, Dj Gabriel, in Velvet Underground and Loft of Zouk KL.
Blessing the dancefloors in Jogyakarta, Indonesia with audience of more than 3000 people for the 2004 Christmas Eve 'Soul Heaven' party at The Jet Sets. Club Amare in Bandung, Indonesia saw him playing for the Heineken Invasion party 2005.
Other international shows that he has performed includes Club Platform One @Flinders Street, Melbourne, Australia for Easter Break Party promoted by Kampnokturnal, Australia. Club Next Blue, Melbourne, Australia for 'In Stereo Party' promoted by Kampnokturnal Events Management, Australia. Club Lavish, Melbourne for "Lavish House Fridays" promoted by Lavish Managements, Australia.
He has also played alongside international dj's such as DJ Romy (1945 Music Factory, Jakarta), Chris H. (Hybrid, UK), Eric Entrena (Toro Records, ESP), Jay Cunning (UK), Kid Kenobi (Australia) and Ray Soo (Love International Records & Zouk Club, KL).
In December 2006, one of his track 'Resonate' was chosen and released by Gillazia Records where it was compiled in the PRESENCE 'Global Dancefloor' KUL03 compilation.
