Labrat is a member Common Unity as an MC and also as the most prominent producer in the crew having provided the instrumental portion for the majority the group's first two albums, Common Who? in 2004 and Down With Rappers scheduled to be released in 2006 if all goes well. Besides making music, Labrat also owns and operates The Labratory, a recording and mixing studio in downtown Montreal that has recorded such local acts as Northern Lights, Sans Pression, Qarnacier and others and has recently had a visit from Brooklyn Academy's Mr. Metaphor who was in town to record the lead song for the Off The Hook radio show 10th Year Anniversary Mixtape. The Labratory as well as Labrat himself have made a name for themselves very quickly since they hit the Montreal hip hop scene and the best has yet to come. For any info write [email protected]
