Histamine was founded in Aug of 2005 when former singer of "Further From The Sun", Matt Mazzali left his band to join guitarist Steve O'Brien and drummer Lucas Doyle. After rocking together for a few months, they found a second guitarist Rich Harvey who filled in the void which was much needed to complete the "Histamine" sound. After going through a whole slew of drummers, they hooked up with Drummer John-"fit like a glove". Through months of Rich and Steve O writing face (usually drinking 2) and coming up with riff after riff of their signature melodic tunes, they found themselves with a pleathera of songage. But there was still something missing...BASS! So they called their long-time friend Joe DiLorenzo, aquired him on bass, and the band was complete! Playing their first show at a house party in their hometown of Millbrook NY with native rockers makeoutmusic, Histamine SET THE HOUSE OFF! Once they received a great reaction and not only grabbed the attention of some fellow Millbrook rockers, but inherited a much need boost in confidence, Histamine began their journey into the hardcore scene.....After their show at The Chance on Aug 4th, 06 with 25 ta life and Crime Lab, Histamine went through yet another crushing drummer phase. Unable to find a drummer capable of John's level of skill, Histamine was getting frustrated and quickly losing hope of a winter season until a strike of luck came from a loyal fan at a party. Giving them wind of a drummer named NICK-originally from the band Souls Revenge, they promptly contacted him in hopes of continuing their fight to rock. Nick was newly available, and willing to give it a shot. When he stepped into practice and shook the ground with his intricate metal break downs and brutal double bass, they knew they had something special. Now with the 5 piece together once again they came back to The Chance Dec 9th with a whole new sound of metalcore chaos and left just a little taste of what's to come....
