I am faithful to God. Man just reaps the benefits.

About Me

My name is Timothy Wortham, Jr. I am Minister of Music at the Lighthouse Deliverance Temple in South Philadelphia ( www.lighthousedeliverancetemple.com ). I have been writing songs for as long as I can remeber. It was God's gift to me to cope with all that He knew I would have to deal with in my lifetime. I write from experiences, both joyful and painful. I write to celebrate and to heal. When it is all said and done, I may never be in the top 10, but if I can encourage and heal someone who has experienced something similar to what I have experienced, then I will be satisfied. Don't get me wrong, I would love to travel the world and spread my message of love and healing. However, fame means nothing if no lives are affected by your work. I want to offer people a truly spiritual experience as well a entertain them. I need my lyrics to be just as important as my music. What you will hear on this site are a few rough demos done in the basement of a friend of mine. Most pieces that I post will be very rough and undone, but again, I believe that the message will transcend the lack of experience that I have so far as a "producer" or "engineer". I am a musician, a singer and a songwriter. I am just doing the other stuff until I hook up with the right partner to bring out the best in me.Please continue to pray for me, and I hope that you enjoy what you hear. More imporantly, I hope you are affected by what you experience while listening to my heart's songs. myspace layouts :: Get this layout .

My Interests

Music:

Band Members: I have a few people that I work with when recording. Personally I do vocals, keys, drums/drum programming, then there's Richard Somerville (guitar), Michael Azaan White (drums/drum programming, bass) Alan "Big Al" Saddler (bass).
Influences: My music is God inspired, so He is my biggest influence. My Pappy, Bishop-Elect Kevin L. Morrison challenges me to be better in every aspect of life, not just spiritually, but as a man, a husband, a father and an artist. The man, the myth, the legend Robbie Lewis. The greatness of a professor and the humility of a student. I have learned more from you in 3 years than I have learned from many people I have known my entire life. You make me hear what I didn't hear before and question what I used to just accept. Gary Mayes, my big bruh in Houston holdin' it down fo' sho!! Man, what God has joined together. He has definitely linked us man, and I appreciate it. My Philly brother, Brian Frasier-Moore. Man, the world ain't ready for your vocals homie!! Man, the whole Movement Orchestra, Ethan "Hot Thumbs" Farmer, Kev "The Beast" Randolph, Cookie "Frist Lady" Lewis, Ray, Randy, Dontae, Agape, String Force man all yall inspire me. You are one of the most dynamic bands I have ever heard. Your chemistry onstage is only a reflection of your bond off the stage. To Tye Tribbett who I grew up watching and listening to. Terry, Dana, Paris, Eric, Pudge. All you guys take me back to a very happy time in life when Bishop used to come over every February to run that revival. I wasn't really so appreciative of the word back then, I was just waiting for you guys to show up!! LOL To all the great bands, EW&F, the Funk Brothers, Chicago, Mint Condition, Mo' Horns, Harry Connick Jr and his big band, Prince's band (always). The great vocalists Nat King Cole, Brian McKnight, Take 6, Singers Unlimited, The Carpenters, Commissioned, The Winans, Stevie Wonder, Luther Vandross, Chaka Kahn, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn, Lena Horne, Nina Simone, the Hawkins family, Kim Burrell, The Clark Sisters, just so many people to name. To Johnny AKA Natural, man thanks for being so cool and down to earth. I truly admire your musicianship and your work ethic. My man Steve McKie, I saw you go from the bottom to the top (literally). You were one of the first guys from West Philly that I knew personally, that made it out by way of music. Thanks for showing the rest of us that it is possible.
