Obviously being a mum has come first all these years but I try and get out to see live music as often as I can; love the hills, play piano, enjoy the company of my good friends whom I could not do without! Too many interests to mention.
Not sure about this category but think Annie Lennox has an interesting story to tell and feel quite in tune with her!
Totally eclectic: Bach, Capercalie, Eddi Reader, Elvis Costello, Eric Clapton, Judie Tzuke, Joni Mitchell, Dudley Moore Trio, Unkle Bob, Fleetwood Mac (esp. "Landslide"...), Elbow, Alanis M, old Springsteen, Dylan stuff, Kate Bush, Jamelia, Lemar, Little Feat, Mary J Blige esp Be Without You, Beyonce, Scissor Sisters, Jo Jo, one or 2 songs from Feeder, Orson, Snow Patrol, etc etc etc
Old classics like Amelie, Betty Blue, 9 and a half weeks, but enjoyed other films too like The Pianist, Withnail and I. Enjoyed Catch Me If You Can, A Beautiful Mind, Raging Bull from oh so long ago. Do you remember the film The Gods Must Be Crazy? etc etc etc....
Tends to be dominated by the kids tho quite enjoyed This Life + 10 recently. Yes I know it was pretentious but so what. Love Chewin' the Fat and Still Game but probably wouldn't if I didn't come from Scotland, these guys are such a laugh. Sadly I also enjoy a bit of Little Britain! And of course, the Big Yin, Billy Connolly.
not so recent: Unbearable Lightness of Being, Bonfire of the Vanities, Cry Freedom, more recent biographies of Billy Connolly, John Peel and autobiography God's Call Girl.
My fab friend Janice, she is a star and doesn't know it. Then there is of course AnnaMarie, Jen, Lou, Pauline, Kathryn and a host of others whom I look to for various inspiration. And of course, my kids are my heroes - where would I be without them!
