Everybody is asking about this 18 year old prodigy out of Miami, Florida. Not since Lil Wayne has someone so young demanded so much attention from so many affulential people in this industry. Maybe being singed at 13 years old by Trick Daddy/Slip n Slide records can create a hype but to keep that hype going on O.Z. is currently in the studio working with producers who have solidified placements with artists such as 50 cent, Fat Joe, Juelz Santana, Lil Wayne, Mobb Deep, Remy Ma, Smitty, Young Buck, Peedi Peedi, Jr.Ried, Mims, Young Chris,Jae Millz and Lloyd Banks etc...
“Vin Rock”, from the Legendary Hip Hop group, Naughty by Nature, joins forces with “High Capacity” management to introduce Miami’s own 18yr old Hip Hop sensation Lil’ O.Z.!!
“Of all the hip hop artists I’ve come across in my career, O.Z. was the first to remind me of when my group first started.” States Vinnie. I was introduced to O.Z. by a producer from the Miami area by the name of “Kreep” while collecting beats for a new Naughty by Nature lp.
I expressed interest in finding a young, hungry M.C. who was on the grind and was willing to make “Smart” records. Kreep sent some songs and introduced me to O.Z.’s manager , “Jay Got Beats”, who manages producers as well.
“O.Z.’s writing skillz reminded me of a young Treach. His flow and song structure came off like a seasoned artist. The production sounded as if he had a family structure behind him. I was interested in an artist who could come off the heels of Lil’ Wayne, T.I., and Juelz Santana but has his own identity.
“Smoke Gray Tint” was the first song to capture my attention. I imagined it being a summertime banger everyone would bump in their whips and in the clubs. The more I listened, the more consistent the songs were. I was convinced he was a creative writer when I heard his song, “Sweet 16” dedicated to all the high school girls during their special moment. I have a niece who just turned 16 and she Loved that song!
O.Z. has a very diverse song writing style. He could rhyme on any track and isn’t afraid to try different concepts. I’ve had tons of people over the years get at me to get into management and this is the first artist to really touch me. I’ve partnered with Jay’s High Capacity Management and we are ready to introduce “ O.Z….The Future”.
