Sounds Like: south wales argus review
Parading out of Pontypridd, surfing a wave of shiny new sound and buzzing on their relatively new surge of ambition, recently-formed Tomorrow's History look set to shake things up on the South Wales music scene this year.
As they've mish-mashed a stunning array of indie/rock influences that they've drawn dewdrops of golden inspiration from over the years and forged a menacing musical monster in the form of this band! Their energy and enthusiasm is utterly admirable and to take a leaf out of their book, I'm going to use some Ponty lingo that they throw about on their site and simply sum them up as: tidy.
Tomorrow's History - The Best I've Had This Week [EP] 8/10
I gotta say, for a first review, I could not have asked for a better start.
These guys are pretty good for a local band, I'm sure I've seen them live before
and if they're who I'm thinking of. Then they're worth going to see. If I put a gig
on, these guys would be close to, if not, headling. The first track I checked was
''Flavour Of The Week''. Opening with a strong hard-hitting crescendo that is the drums
of Arron. The vocals kick in with the rest of the backline. They are so powerful.
You're in for a good 2 minutes and 30 seconds! Only criticism I can give is that the end was unexpected
and that was only because I was enjoying it so much.
Next up is ''Clearless View''. Its very very very much like local band The Guns. Pretty
damn good. The guitars in this song are very strong. The chorus links catchy guitar riffs
with very very very very powerful vocals.
Last up is ''In and Out Of Time''. The song opens with clean guitars. They take a break
and the verse comes in with yet again, those powerful vocals. They sound Gerard Way-esque in the
verse. The chorus is quite catchy, but however, it is the weakest song, and its still good!
Tomorrow's History are someone to defiantly look out for in the future. I wouldn't
put it passed them to make it quite big locally. The Best track for me has to be
'Flavour Of The Week'.
Overall a great listen.
Thriller reviews :)
