About Me

Kevin Karr BioName: Kevin Karr Age: 35 Born: June 25, 1971 Favorite Saying: Have a Nice Whatever! Favorite Food: Beer & Italian Food/Mexican Favorite Music: Heavy Metal Bands currently listening to: Trivium, Black Label Society, Dream Evil, Iron Maiden Favorite Sport: Baseball Favorite Team: SF Giants Job Title: Musician/Graphic Designer/WriterKevin Karr was born and raised in Vallejo, California. From an early age became almost infatuated with music. Digging the sounds that were always coming out of his father's record player, the music never stopped from then on. At an early age The Beatles Sgt. Peppers was the first and most listened to record out of the stack. His father also used to play other records as well. Ranging from older country such as Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings all the way to Tom Waits the music was endless. Also at an early age Kevin listened to Metallica, Megadeth, Over Kill, Forbidden, Death Angel, Iron Maiden and other heavy guitar influenced bands.Kevin picked up the guitar at an early age. Right around the age of 10 years old. Started playing and never looked back. Always influenced by heavy metal, there are still tones of the music his father used to play as a child in his head always. The different styles you can hear in his music today.Still playing guitar in many different bands around the Bay Area, Kevin never turns down a gig, studio time, jamming or writing about music for the local newspaper.Still writing songs, stories and conducting interviews with bands, Kevin makes the music scene a little more enjoyable for the heavy metal fans around in the area. Also, Kevin is a huge fan of concerts and seeing bands perform live. There is no better feeling than seeing someone you listen to, play right before your eyes. Kevin has seen many bands over the years numerous times and will keep getting out there to see more. Concerts are a big part of his life.As his major goal in life is to just have fun. Period. At whatever it is you want to do. Life is too short. Enjoy it while you can.~KK~Kevin is still recording, writing and producing his own CD's under his own record label IDIOTIC RECORDS. He has also guest guitared and done vocals for such acts as THE TAXMAN, SKIDMARKS, KEN MAFFEO, plus many more.
