Brown James comes off like something of a veteran on his confident and accomplished debut set. With a clear vocal tone and some strong subject matter Brown James is certainly looking to make his mark with tracks like the head-nodding ‘Close 2 Da Most.’ Keeping things personal Brown James opts not to call on a slew of guests to aid this effort with ‘ADayInTheLife’ being the sole posse cut in this 15-track outing. Meanwhile, the production from lesser knowns like Jihad, D.O.X., Poe and Autolect bumps like the work of many a big name producer.
