I am here for Friends

About Me

The adage "square peg in a round hole" is very appropriate...but aren't we all in some ways??? I'm eclectic in my tastes and interests, I'm inquisitive, always wanting to know who, what, why, where & when. I never want to stop learning....there is a whole universe of things to discover out there and not enough time to do it in.... I have an excellent sense of humor, but on the flip side, get too serious about the stupid stuff that doesn't really matter!!

My Interests

Music, literature, Art (esp. but not inclusive- Impressionists, Art Deco, Art Nouveau & Japanese woodblock prints of the 1800's) movies, (esp. foreign films), being an "extra" in films in Chicago area (whoohoo!!...Ricky Gervais, I can relate!!), Skype-ing!, Apple computers, web design, graphic design, Photoshop, photography, hiking, swimming, working out, lifting weights, canoeing, writing, history, travel, Mini Coopers, sailboats, submarines, vintage magazines, The One Campaign,

World Vision, Chicago Cubs, The Chicago BEARS - 2006 NFC Champions, Chicago Fire, Newcastle United, learning French (The French Podclass - J'aime Le Podclass Francais beaucoup. Sebastien est un bon professeur!!), Space...I love looking at pics from the Spitzer, Hubble, etc. telescopes, the Chandra X-ray Observatory and Cassini spacecraft... and am in awe when I do!
The lists below reflect no specific order...just as they came to my scattered brain.....

I'd like to meet:

I can't even begin to say...there are too many to name...Those of you who know me may figure out a few :o)...but overall it would be very nice to make new friends from other countries....well and of course, here too!
