Lunyptra's inception was amidst the disbanding of two Tampa Bay Area' Black Metal acts -(I.E)- Byam Klavor & Tempest in the autumnal equinox of the year 2005. Instinctually the founding member of Lunyptra, Drew (Vocals/Guitar), engaged in the process of composing the music.To sustain his vision he turned to companions, ex-band mate Justin of Byam Klavor-(drums), and Robert of Tempest-(Guitar/Vocals).After the addition of Robert the songwriting solidified with the riffing he presented to aid the sound of Lunyptra. Hence the project has evolved with a demo entitled Veil Of Lunis that consists of three odes.Lunyptra's Veil Of Lunis demo was recorded by Robert (guitars/vocals) in late December of 2006,He has a long history of recording and engineering,recently graduated from Full Sail in Orlando,Fl with a recording arts degree. The emblem of the band derives from the words Luna and Calyptra. Combining the two words the moniker Lunyptra is created.The true meaning is concealed within a lunar veil.Lunyptra is (NOT) a racist,arian/white supremacy,satanic,womanizing black metal band.,
