THE WILLIS BOGILLIS DYNAMITE REVUE EXPLOSION!

About Me

We found a chest on south lido beach that contained an old guitar, a harmonica, a bottle of southern comfort, and a whole shitload of sheet music. We took all the stuff to band practice and messed around with some of the progressions and the soco. The name carved into the side of the chest was "Willis Bogillis" it also had a date: 1917, New Orleans. After the all night binge of soco and song we awoke the next morning to find our chest missing. No sign of break in, if you've seen our chest please let us know! We continue to bring the music of Willis Bogillis in an updated format for all to enjoy, we could not find out any more information about the man so hopefully he can get some recognition posthumously. The blues aint dead!we can probably say that the bands inception started back in 1996 when chris and joe met in 7th grade and taught one another to play guitar. we convinced nick to cash in his life savings to buy a bass and and an amp and he has become the best damn bass player this side of the mississippi river. we went through a few diffrent incarnations and several diffrent drummers before joe left the band in 1999 to persue other musical ventures. during chrises days in the vpa at booker high he met mike, a killer percussionist and musical theorist. he joined the remenants of euphoria which was the original band name. after a lull in which mike joined the marines, nick got married, joe went on a magic carpet ride, and chris sufferd the tragic loss of his eldest brother, the band started jamming again in the summer of 2002 and has been struggling to get our music heard at whatever bar the owner was kindly enough to let us play on face value. if you have heard us recently we can say with all modesty aside we are really good. we like to get a party going when we play and freely advocate the forgetting of ones troubles through art, self discovery, and copius amounts of ethyl alcohol. dont take our word for it, just come see one of our shows, the songs on this site are 100% live and we live up to our unoffical name of the loudest band in town. you may want to bring some earpluggs.
