First of all I just wanna say thanks for passing thru and taking the time out to listen to my music. As you should know by now I go by the name of Coopz (aka Peezy). I'm from Derby and I live in Bedford so I'm reppin' for East Midz & East Anglia. Big up to all the man dem in their regions and all the man that I'm working with, worked with or will be working with in the future. Nothing but big tingz coming from both regions. Watch for Milluminati - Coming Soon. I've been writing and recording since I was about 15 and still in my school dayz in Derby. I started with a crew which included Alex Blood (make sure you check his myspace). Music plays a big part in my life and its been like that probably since I wrote my first verse or was it when I first burnt a stick; either way I've been feeling my music for time now and I must have a shoebox and few bags full of lyrics to back that up. My taste in music is pretty much anything Hip-Hop or Hip-Hop influenced. KRS-One said "Rap is something you do, Hip-Hop is something you live" and I definitly live Hip-Hop. I feel like I'm influenced by most, if not all artists. Sometimes I'm influenced because I'm feeling the content of the track, whether it's lyrics or beats and sometimes when I listen to a track I just feel like man ain't doing it properly and repping correct and my views on these 'wasteman' reflect in my music from time to time, but don't get it twisted and discombobulated because I'm not a hater; I love to see people being successful but everyones entitled to an opinion. In 2003/04 I recorded a album with BMDub/RuffCo/Chrometooth called "22 Years Of Strife". You can read the review at www.rapnews.co.uk. There's an interview on the site as well. The album was never released properly due to a dispute. A few people have got a copy of the album but it's not something I had complete creative control over so I'm not really looking to pursue the release of it. I feel to just treat it as a learning experience and allow it. Trust, theres alot you can learn about people in this business. The album was produced by RuffCo and featured other BMDub artists, Sam Fury and Sho (Check out their myspaces). 22 Years Of Strife is a showcase of what I've got to offer in the future. I'm always writing and recording new music and at the moment I'm branching out in a few different directions. So keep your eyes and ears open. Like I said, Milluminati - COMING SOON.
