About Me

DJ and co-promoter of Floatation in Birmingham
www.floatationmusic.com
I was born in France, my parents are Spanish and I've been in the UK for 10 years now. I come from Lyon (600 miles south of Birmingham) where I used to play guitar and bass in a band. We played a mix of Jazz, Soul, Funk, Disco, Ska, Blues. Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Jaco Pastorius, George Clinton, The Blackbyrds, Chaka Khan... voila.
I moved to England in '96 and got into electronic music through Atomic Jam in Birmingham. This night was huge and absolutely mental all night so that's how I started djing and promoting musical events in Birmingham.
Our night 'Floatation' started 6 years ago. The idea has been to create a special gathering with friends, clubbers, but also to put on some exciting parties by mixing different music styles altogether. Disco, Soul, Funk, Jazz, House, Broken Beats, Hip Hop, Techno... Often very loud. Very.
Here's our web sites where you'll find lots of mixes and party photos from Floatation.

One thing I really hate: The BBC West Midlands news. So bloody cheap and boring. Oh yesss, Big Brother and reality tv. Absolute waste of life
