Artistic Influences I approach my art in one of two ways, normally. When doing portraits of children and adults, I am inspired by Matisse and Degas, and use gentle yet strong colours for realistic effect. My abstracts, on the other hand come from a deep Jungian-subconscious place, probably and possibly cheese enhanced dreams, or wine influenced visions! I love the tactile effect from applying acrylic in layers, throwing in a variety of other materials at hand, as well as impasto techniques.
