DJ TECHNIC, DEM GRILLZ HOSTED BUY PAUL WALLReviewer: P.O. FROM WWW.MIXTAPETALK.COM
Date:3.06.06
Rating:The Break Down:
Dem Grillz is a good mixtape with solid songs the whole way through. There are a few above average tracks and a of couple standouts, but like with any tape that isnt flawless, there are a couple that couldve been left off of it. I think that if you want to hear some quality southern music then go ahead and pick this up.Joints To Check For:
Lil Keke Paul Wall -Chunk Up Da Duece-Paul Wall is just his regular self on this song. The beat thumps in every ride and my speakers nearly blew lol. Let me let everyone not from the south in on a little secret. Lil Keke has and always will be a Great Rapper. Man when you hear him over music it just seems like he was made to do it. So def check this out its a glimpse of how good he is.T.I.- Stand Up Guy-Im not gonna lie I got the advance, dont ask me how I got it, but I did. This was the standout track, in my opinion. This is a different look for T.I., but its something so needed to evolve into something better than what he is. The beat is sort of technoish but not too much to alienate people from himself. He spits the same flames he will always spit "you cant be me cause you aint man enough nigga i look em in the eye and say man up nigga" thats what Im talking about right there excellent replay value. The Skip Button:
A couple of the song songs on here were kind of dated and not of the classic variety, so those songs could be skipped - Mike Jones Turning lane. (NO HATE) thats it though every other song was either above average or stand out

Technic is back dropping two mixtapes a month like clock work. Now that's a DJ that understands the importance ofconsistientcy. Naw he doesn't have a heavy web presence but he does his things in streets of NY. His reggae jointsare on point too but we fucking with hip hop this time out. I heard he was down with Rapattack so congrats on thatman. One thing I def dig about his formula is that he lets his personality shine on the tape. I know the man gotskills and he should let them loose more often but it is what it is.Joe Budden hosts this CD which is proper. I'm not a fan of "Nasty Girl". This beat is like a bad demo to me but willprobably be a hit. "The Flute Song" is my joint. Tha Liks need to come back hard. I can ride to this beat all dayevery day. "Gonna Love You" is on some cool out club shit was proper. I wouldn't expect Robin Thicke to be on a lotof mixtapes but hey we all go through mixtape "Growing Pains" (bad joke). The song is cool. The Joe Buddens audio was mad low and even the Budden tracks was low audio wise. I guess I would say the tracklistwas diverse but it came off like Technic was just playing what he was feeling from the new music he got at the timehe was bout to drop. He def shows love to his crew which is a plus and again he has a cool mixtape personality.Music in general has just been average to me lately. You catch a few joints that make your head nod but the rest isaverage. (12-5-05) BIG CHEW WWW.RAPMULLET.COM

Mr. "Technical Support" is back at it again. Straight outta the BX, DJ Technic is bout to "Put It Down". Fabolous holding down the hosting duties. Straight raw uncut hip hop, couple exclusives and hot underground joints. Technic always supports the up an coming MCs through and through plus his comments between tracks keep the CD moving like no other. Is Technic on the radio? Dude should be, he got the personality for that shit."Six Minutes" is one of Cassidy's best verses and Lil' Wayne slid through on some drug rap supreme type shit. That mutha fucka sound like he a true street pharmasist for the burbs, talking bout Oxycontin. That shit will have you selling your mama's couch, your aunts couch, and a broken amp. Dramills and Stack Bundles did they thing on "Up In Ya Building" rmx. The horns in that beat had me open. Typical east coast shit, Dramills got some shit though. Shelly B got an ill flow. Old girl be flipping words like a fat bitch tities bouncing while she running. North Carolina got some cats on the come I see. Suprised the fuck outta me that Public Enemy was on this joint. "Can't Hold Us Back" was decent though. Chuck D sounding brand new, beat was tight as well. M1 absolutly murdered "Grown Man". Damn, shit had me open, he put NWA's "Dope Man" on its ear and flipped it lovely.Besides the joints I already heard, the other tracks was average man. The underground joints was average too, some of the levels was off which is to be expected dealing with freestyles and shit. All in all it was an average CD. Nothing really jumps out at you like "OH SHIT". Like I said before, Technic's personality is the adhesive that holds this CD togther. Some cats don't like the DJ to talk at all but if they cut out for it then the DJ needs to shine on that tip regardless. Technic drops two CDs a month like clock work, so its nothing really. You take the average with the exceptional its part of the game people. (7-24-05)

CHECK OUT MY REVIEW FROM WWW.RAPMULLET.COM
Capone on the hosting
duties, new album droppin' soon. Let's hope he captures
that old CNN vibe. Technic is a versatile cat. Reggae,
R&B and Hip Hop, he drops them all. You don't see
him on many websites but the street presence is there,
coming straight out of the Bronx. Listening to how
Technic intros each track you can tell this is funny
mutha fucka. He might have to join up with rapmullet
cause Dimez and I are like the Beavis and Butthead of
mixtape reviews and we love to get our snap on with just
about everything. Add some brew and some haze to the
equation and you talking comedy album
material.
Technic def got his ear to the pavement. "Time" by Khastu was that liquid shit. Tight verses for the haters. Coke Navada came through strong on "Back Again" with a freestyle for you lames. "Soldier&..39;s Story" had the dramatic beat man. Capone sounded tight, def coming with some hot shit with a little
