From print, to still photography in film, GW is always adding his artistic flair to his images. GW has his own segment on the TV show "Where's the Party at" and recently completed filming the reality show Super Model Showdown currently in editing. He is one of the few photographers who is as comfortable in front of the camera as he is behind.GW is currently working on a new book that will be titled "The child within." The premise in the book is who we are is often delivered to others by what we surround ourselves with. The clothes we wear, the cars we drive, the houses and neighborhoods we live in, even the friends we keep. In St Louis it is often joked that the first question someone from there will ask is "What high school did you go to." A quick question, from those asking, to determine who you are? I often thought that it would be interesting to create images that stripped away those very things that would influence the viewer as to who the model was! Removing a woman's clothing and possessions, would expose a lot of the little girl trapped inside. So it is my attempt to do a series of images that remain true to the concept that there is still a lot of child within all of us. Even if we don't show it to everyone, our memories of our childhood remain etched in each and every one of our hearts. Solitary feminine figures, almost completely devoid of grownup stigmas, with a memory from their childhood as a central theme. This is the purity and simplicity of who we are that links all of us together, male or female.To quote GW, "when I plan my shots I always remember that this moment in time will be frozen for all to enjoy. It can be a testament to both the models and my feelings. Taking a vision and making it come to fruition is the challenge that drives me each and every shoot. My goal is to project mood in everyone of my images. I love meshing the background into the story of the picture. That is why I scout my locations ahead of time and shoot them before the model ever arrives. I want you, the viewer, to be able to literally inhale the panorama of the image. Thus the background is as important to the image as the model herself. Balancing the composition so that the background compliments, but never dominates the subject matter, is the art of a great picture. Consequently, I love to lead the model on an adventure, not just a picture taking session."
