About Me

Del Cielo started in January of 2001 in Richmond, VA. Me (Andrea) and Basla were attending Virginia Commonwealth University together and met Katy who started making the commute from College Park, Maryland to practice. That May we played our first show. It was terrifying, for me at least, and I still have pictures from it (we look funny in em). Since then we recorded two full length, wish and wait and us vs. them. We've gone on a few tours and countless weekend jaunts. On Septmeber 23rd 2005 we played our last show at VCU in Richmond Va. It was pretty funny, the PA blew in the first song, luckily our dear friends randomly had another in their car so the show went on. So thank you all who have enjoyed our music and came to our shows, we appreciate it more than you know. Now if you are bored please go to our blog where I put up bios on our roadies from the past;)

Influences: We all come from different places musically. People compare us to bands like discount, sarge, velocity girl, ashes, sleater kinney and a slew of other bands with female vocals that we really don't sound much like. So you listen and pick.
