DJ Higher Intelligence's love of music started at a young age, as a school boy he would stay up late in his room with his finger on the record and pause buttons listening to Mike Allen and wishing he could cut and scratch like Jam Master Jay, Jazzy Jeff and Terminator X. When he left school he started going to his friends house to practice on his Dad's decks, cutting tracks back and forth learning all the time. It was around this time he also started playing in bands in this instance on drums. Getting the taste for live music he continued in this direction moving from drums to guitar. But after years of gigging and muso style tantrums He decided than rather than having to rely on other musicians he would start making music on his own and got himself a PC and some music software. This was the ignition point and soon he was churning out track after track. Taking his influences from his eclectic musical tastes he has been able to use all of the skills he has learnt from Djing and marry them with live guitars, bass and drums. In the past he has done comisioned re mixes for alternative artists "Hitechjet" and "Drivingontheright" as well as downloadable re mixes of "The Beastie Boys" and "NWA"
