ATOMIC REVOLUTION NEWS UPDATE
HOLLYWOOD, CA. - The next name you hear off the lips of those discussing the newest hard rock news will be Atomic Revolution. And the nifty moniker is the least interesting thing about the band. After the name's made you do a double take, you'll be duly impressed and astounded by the weighty but catchy music.
Atomic Revolution is the public manifestation of the artistry of DUCK and Jon. Both hailing from Phoenix, AZ, they call music “the only place they can call home.” They say “home is where the heart is”; in this case, the music shows where the hat's supposed to hang.
DUCK and Jon are devoted musicians, dedicated to both songwriting excellence and to providing the audience with smart entertainment. Music is a second language for the duo writing team and they might even describe it as their first. Says DUCK, “I can express myself better with music than with words.” Erik agrees.
Atomic Revolution’s upcoming release, “Circle of Elders”, will demonstrate to the music-listening world that metal isn't dead, that the genre still has plenty of vigorous life left in it and that emo shall not prevail. The CD is in the primitive stages and should be trotting out for public consumption within a year. “All the writing is still in its beginning stages; I really can’t say much more, but our goal is a year from now.” says DUCK.
The boys tend to find the emotional material for their music from the real-world experiences all around. That is where the integrity of theirs finds its root – in the boys’ insistence on drawing from TV-off reality rather than the plastic fantasy world of some emo beacons. “Life,” emphasizes DUCK. “The relationships that occur between people are the main basis for our writing.” Jon couldn’t agree more.
DUCK and Jon are songwriters whom look around themselves and draw the marrow from their specific circumstances and translate it into general truths, expressed by way of their compelling hard rock compositions. “The beauty in music is its intangibility,” says DUCK. “It is one of the few human creations in the world that brings us together, yet we cannot even touch it.”
When Atomic Revolution’s very tangible CD release “Circle of Elders” hits the venues, be prepared to anticipate quite the success. “Atomic Revolution’s music touches a chord, one whose resonance is shared by everybody. It's why the songs are so accessible but enduring.”
