Genetik Blueprint

With the renewed interest in metal consuming the American, UK and European airwaves, Scotland’s Genetik Blueprint are heading the pack of exciting new acts in the United Kingdom. With so much amassed since their conception 3 years ago, over 400 copies of their debut demo (2004) and over 600 combined sales of their sophomore releases ‘Calculate’ & ‘Fractionize’(2005) and counting, the band strive to push the boundaries of modern metal bring there philosophy of “Aggressive Music for the Intelligent”.2005 highlights saw the 4 piece gain support slots on the UK tour with Denmark’s The Psyke Project who then asked the band to support them again on their 2006 tour. In Edinburgh 2005 the band opened for the highly acclaimed Selfish Cunt from London. Finally 2005 was capped off with a sold out support with Warner Bro’s signings Skindred and Visible Noise Records own Devil Sold His Soul.Splitting the Atom is the band’s latest release and has already reached the 400 sales mark having only been available since September 2006. This is already being heralded as the bands best work to date. As such, Genetik Blueprint opened for Trustkill/Roadrunner Record’s Walls of Jericho & The Seventh Cross at King Tut’s in Glasgow on the 9th of November as well as Anticulture Record’s Interlock on the 13th of November as they toured the UK on the Rock Sound & Terrorizer Magazine sponsored gigs. Genetik Blueprint finished off 2006 supporting Earache Records The Berzerker at the Soundhaus (Glasgow) on December 11th. Genetik Blueprint took the first few months of 2007 to write new material which has been greatly received by the crowds at their shows along side Shaped by Fate, The Future & Cinders Fall to name a few. The band will also be supporting hardcore punks Amen in October.On CD Genetik Blueprint sound as though they were a 5 or 6 piece with their mix of detuned metal riffs, tight and pounding poly-rhythmic percussive section & dynamic mix of samples & electronics. However, the bands 4 members recreate all the visceral action of their recordings into crazed live shows that are attracting people and fans to take notice.
