Born in the United Kingdom & raised in Hackney, Dean became interested in rap music @ the early age of 16. His piers know him as Surgical or Surge.His inspiration then was Ultramagnetic Mc's, Big Daddy Kane, EPMD, Kool G Rap, Wu Tang Clan, NWA, Busta Rhymes & a long list of other names.He began putting rhymes on scraps of paper & it just escalated from there.Any spare time Surge gets has been spent on building a catalogue of musical compositions to which he has done for various unknown but enthusiastic artists. To date he has approximately over 250 productions, 40 of which are finished productions for his solo project.Many have heard him &, his lyrical flow is described as innovative, energetic & enlightening. Musically, he covers a broad spectrum of our society & his music is not promoted particularly @ teenagers but, a variety of individuals from young to old.Hopes for the years to come will be to continue to attract listeners & he will feed off their views & opinions, which will give him the initative to maintain his sound production.Surge plans to set up a web site in order to advertise himself. This will include Media options whereby the public can listen to his productions. He also plans to have a Judge For Yourself option which will give him feedback on how the public like / dislike his productions. These are just a few of the many ideas he has to promote himself on the web.Advertisement of his production is underway. Demo cds have been sent to Déjà vu, Choice FM & many other radio stations not to mention local record outlets.Surge will be appearing @ shows as an introductory to his unforeseen talents.Personally, Surgical describes his music as captivating, fresh, inspiring & most of all, different. His lyrics, he describes as energetic, raw & can be related to by others. His style, he describes as more complex than the average up & coming rappers.His diverse ability will surely keep him in the music industry for many years to come, as he is adaptable to change his musical pattern to suit his crowd.
