Thomas Alva Edison

My names Thomas Alva Edison I was born February 11th 1847 I'm 159 years old. I was born in Milan, Ohio. I would have been the youngest child but my brothers and sissters dided before i was born. My brothers and sisters that are still alive are so old it's like I'm an only child. I was very mischievious as a child. I wan time set my fathers barn on fire just to see what would happen. When I was 7 years old I got scarlet fever and it affected my hearing. My mother took me out of school and began to homeschool me becuase of my scarlet fever. My father flew from canada during the rebellions of 1837 and worked in Milan as a shingle worker and land investor. My family moved to Port Huron, Mich. There my father ran bussinesses in lumbering. My mother wouldn't let me go back to school ever since I got scarlet fever. Like I said before I was mischievous as a kid and I loved to pull pranks and practical jokes. I liked reading, science books were my favorite. It lead me to experiment with chemicals. I built a model of a working saw mill and a railroad engine, both were powered by steam.Even as a kid I loved business. I grew vdegetables on my fathers farm and sold them in town. When I was 10 years old I set up a chemistry lab in my cellar. I did experiments and conducted of single experiments. When I was 12 I began to sell newspapers, canddy, magazines, tabacco, and sandwiches to passenger trains between Port Huron and Detroit. Later I hired other workers to work for me selling goods on the trains and stops. When I was 15 I published and sold a newspaper called the "Weekly Harold". I also started to develop bad hearing problems, my conditions got worse as I grew olde.
