For over 20 years in Northern Uganda, a senseless war has been raging between a rebel group called the LRA and the government of Uganda.
This has caused unbelievable suffering for the people in these regions. Their children are abducted and forced to become soldiers, and there are thousands of people living in internally displaced people’s camps. They have homes, but cannot live there because it is too dangerous. They are hungry despite owning land that is capable of producing food.
Our government needs to support the peace talks in Uganda, and give urgent support to those in the IDP’s. Join us.

Peace talks are (slowly) progressing in Northern Uganda, with a fair few hiccups along the way. Nevertheless this is exciting progress, and hopefully the 20 year war will finally end.
If this occurs, the people and region will need support and rehabilitation in order to recover. Invisible Children will help this through the Education program and the Bracelet campaign.
