the Damned

the Damned are England's premier Punk Band. they were the first UK punk band to release a record, New Rose 1976, and also the first UK punk band to release an album, Damned Damned Damned 1977. The Damned also created what is considered by many to be the best pUnk rock album of all time, Machine Gun Etiquette 1979. They in fact are still together too this day and are still making music. Considering their long carreer making music there have many different members of the Damned but the creative core of the band is Dave Vanian (lead vocals, who never left), Captain Sensible (bass on first 2 albums and lead guitar after, who has been in and out of the band over the years), and Rat Scabies (the greatest Punk Drummer of all time, who left the band in the Mid-90s).
