To list it all would be ridiculous. I like music. I might not understand it at times (Matmos) but that is ok. I might grit my teeth in pain (techno) but I understand that people do that when I play Ken Nordine. I find equal joy in listening to Icelandic jazz quartets as I do to the Darkness. There is beauty and simplicity to The Strokes as there is to Screamin' Jay Hawkins. I love Prez Prado with the same exuberance as The Oblivians. I will listen to Wayne Hancock right after listening to The Runaways. There is always room for the Dead Milkmen. I am a walking musical contradiction. I enjoy it that way. However... in Amberlandia there is no room - NONE - for The Greatful Dead, Phish, and Pink Floyd. Sorry. Game over man. Game over.
I will watch a million times over: The Princess Bride, The Shawshank Redemption, anything by the Cohen Brothers, The Breakfast Club, Iron Giant, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (Gene Wilder just kicks ass), The Blues Brothers, Lost in Translation... just to name a few.
I'll admit it - I loved Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I'm not afraid to say it. That and Iron Chef any night of the week. CHEN KENICHI ROX!
I'm an art fag. I only own books with pretty pictures...
I don't believe in having heros. I believe in having inspirational figures in my life. To wit, my Oma is the driving force in much of what I do in life.
