The Doubletake Blues Band is made up of 5 outstanding musicians, who when on stage together combine their years of experience and high energy levels to give you a Rockin’ Blues experience like no other.
The Doubletake Blues Band has played a wide variety of venues in the Rochester area, including The Dinosaur Barbeque, The Pelican’s Nest, McGahn’s, Nola’s BBQ and 777 Bar @ Finger Lakes Race Track. They have also appeared at many private parties and various festivals and events sponsored by Hell’s Angels of Rochester and the City of Rochester. They have hosted Blues Festivals at Rabs Woodshed and recently performed for the City of Rochester Lunchtime Concert Series at Aqueduct Park.
In the fall of 2007 Doubletake performed and competed in The Memphis Bound competition in Buffalo. Out of 10 Semi Finalist bands Doubletake came in a close 2nd at the finals in Buffalo at The Lafayette Taproom, loosing by only tenths of a point. The doubletake guys enjoyed the opportunity to perform in a competition with so much talent- and it was a great chance for us to take a few roadtrips and "play" in a different city!
As of February 2008 the boys are taking some time to recover from a busy summer and fall- we played about 35 shows from August until the beginning of December. We are taking advantage of the cold, crappy Rochester winter and practicing and writing so when spring finally rolls around we will have all sorts of great tunes to play for you!!
