About Me

Formed Early 2006, three members of the band had already been playing for a year, with the final edition of Emma (all thanks to a drunken meeting at some random party) in March.
Now we've been gigging the local area for about 6 months and have started to build up a name for ourselves, having recently been asked to play as a headline band for Justice Promontions in 2007.
We've aslo had the oportunity to meet some awsome bands and make some wicked friends so we just want to say Thank You! for the support and the laughs!
Do us a favour by adding our Write off banners to your myspace, so that we get more hits on google.... rather than all the smashed up cars that keep on coming up.... please!

So labels to the ready and these guys are..ska-punk. Well it will do as a label. Following SPITE is difficult but not for WRITE OFF. With no hesitation they were in to fast punk based guitars and speed drumming. Then up stepped their lead singer, Emma. Emma is Devizes answer to Debbie Harry. Only she's more lively. (Actually she's prettier too but this is a gig and it's the music that matters! Honest! :-) lol) For the next 30 minutes there was a display of sheer energy with enjoyable ska-riffs mixed in with heavier punk overtones. The skanking in the crowd was high speed to match the incessant beat of the music Sam, the drummer, looked like someone had thrown a bucket of water over him. I would have died of a heart-attack half way through (maybe that's coz I'm old tho!) But he kept up that energy right to the end. My personal favourite Thank You was their final number and the crowd loved it. Emma brought such a feel good factor to the set that it marked WRITE OFF out as one of the best fun-packed and entertaining bands in the area.

What a FUN day was playing with spite on sunday! It was probably the most fun we have had at a gig! with all the guys in the band being awesome and a rite Larf an a Harf! So yeah, SP!TE.... chek them ...
