TRAFFICKER

trafficker (UK British Rock Band)

About Me

Traffickers music will take you places beyond the misty crossroads of the delta and lead you right back to the true romance of British rock and roll.Trafficker have developed their unique sound from Tommys fifteen year musical career with a musical mix of blues, rock, pop and other genres that have influenced Tommy on the way. The results are his own poetic story of original and inspired rock. It may not be traditional blues, but for him its as blues as blues can get.Since Trafficker started in 2000, the band has seen many changes; not so much in style but in maturity. They have developed from an impulsive blues band to a finely put together engine. Musicians have come and gone, and the addition of horns and cello have all given that little extra something which makes Trafficker stand out. Todays Trafficker is a power trio of drums (Craig Bacon), bass (Barry Pethers) and Tommy on guitar and vocals, which gives all three equally talented musicians the chance to play and work with the dynamics of the song, with a freshness of space for the guitar to develop and drive a melody.Recent rewards for Traffickers hard work have included two sessions on the Paul Jones BBC Radio 2 Blues Show, airplay from British and international radio stations and support slots with Walter Trout, Otis Grand, and Simon Kirk. Their popularity in Europe is also increasing, and at least two international tours are planned for the coming year.Traffickers define raw urban British rock. They couldnt be further away from todays manufactured music, and the enduring popularity of their inspirations, Cream, Free and the Rolling Stones, is surely what Traffickers future holds..
