About Me

.. ..

Here are a couple of videos of our new band Hokie Joint ....take a look!
.. ..Hi Friends, I got a taste for playing the drums when I first saw The Rolling Stones on Thank Your Lucky Stars, back in 1963.........It turned out to be a taste I just didn't wanna wash outta my mouth........
To cut a long story short.......countless bands later....I am still playing {mind you, so are The Stones....wot can a poor boy do eh?!).........
I have dedicated this page to a few of those bands that I have been able to find any recorded material of............

Hokie Joint

2007- The Line up
Jo Jo Burgess vocals
Joel Fisk, guitars
Fregie Fulton, Bass and Vocals
Stephen "Cupsey" Cutmore, Drums.
Giles King, harmonica.
Hokie Joint......Formed in November 2007 when Joe and Joel met up with Stephen for a jam. This turned out to be no ordinary jam, these two young fine young handsome men and this fine old[ish] handsome man soon realised they had something going on here. Something fresh and exciting. Something old that seemed so er..... young! So now they needed a bass player. There was only one man for this job Mr Fergie Fulton,Stephens old friend and bass player from BoozenBlooze.Hey! What can you say about this man....He is the bottom line! To put the icing on the cake, along comes Giles King, the fabulous session harmonica man from Felixstowe. Look out for Hokie Joint in 2008.......They are ready to roll! BR>

THE CRACK

1978-80 The Line up
The Late ]Malcolm Burch, guitars [RIP man]
Nigel Burch, Bass and Vocals
Stephen "Cupsey" Cutmore, Drums.
Played around the London Punk circuit in the late seventies with moderate success......supported The Dammed and made a demo....some of which is featured here taken from a 30 year old cassette tape....hence bad quality sound...[sorry folks...it did sound good once...honest!

BOOZE N BLOOZE

.. ..
.. ..

1987-2002 The Line Ups
John Skelley, guitars and lead vocals 1987-1989
Jeremiah Marques, Lead Vocals, and Harp 1987-1992
The Late Steve " Big Dick” Saunders, guitars 1987-2002
Bob Smith, guitars 1987-1991
Peter " Sonny" Nash, Guitars and Keyboards 1987-2002
Fergie Fulton, Bass.1987-2002
Stephen "Cupsey" Cutmore, Drums.1987-2002
Andy "The Birdman" Taylor, Lead Vocals and harp 1993-2002 [Tim LeGrise took over Steves duties on guitars for a few gigs towards the end of bands life]
Booze n Blooze went thru several line up changes thru the years, but the core of the band stayed the same.
HIGHS
In 1988 the Band received airplay for their debut album called "Nobody Knows" and went on to win a radio phone in competition to find a band to support Doctor Feelgood at Cliffs Pavilion, Southend.......apparently the switchboard was jammed with so many people trying to vote for the boys. [mainly all their relatives and friends hittin the redial button.....ok, I know, it's cheatin...but it worked!]
In 1989 the Band won Banks Best of Blues Competition. The Finals hosted on TV by Jools Holland.........The Prize a week in a recording studio where they made their album "Running Late" and where they also met up with Spike Milligan!
In 1992, Booze n Blooze got the job to support Chuck Berry On his 1992 UK Tour......playing dates at theatres all over the country and finishing up at Hammersmith Odeon [The last English band to actually play at the venue before it changed its name....another useless statistic!] .The tour was a huge success and The Boys actually out sold Chuck on the merchandise![don't tell the taxman for ffffks sake!]
LOWS
After a short tour of Germany, Jeremiah decided that he'd had enough of stardom and went back to diggin hole[s]
MORE HIGHS.....[well a few little ones!}
In 1993 Andy "The Birdman" Taylor was picked to take over from Jerie on Lead Vocals and was an immediate hit with the punters. The Band went on to record another album at Gemini Studios in Ipswich called "Motorway Lights"
MORE LOWS.......afraid
so!....................................................
Alas the band folded in 2002 [I think that’s right......... memory is terrible man!]... and shortly after Steve "Big Dick" Saunders died of a heart attack.....May the good Lord shine a light on you Steve...we all miss you!

.. ..
.. ..

THE CRAWDADDYS

.. .. .. ..

1998-2000....[round about that time anyway!]
The Line Up
Toni Vines Vocals and guitars
Andy "The Birdman" Taylor, lead vocals and harp.
Tim LeGrise, guitars
Darren ? bass.[sorry man I can't remember your surname!...great bass player tho!]
Stephen "Cupsey" Cutmore, drums
The Crawdaddys played songs by The Rolling Stones but weren't really a tribute band, they went for the more obscure Stones material like Cocksucker blues [featured here].......they were certainly popular with people who saw them play around the Suffolk area in the late 90's......the band folded mainly cos they all lived so far apart from each other........

Formerly called “The Legendary Undertakers“.
Present Line-up
Del Stoton, Lead Vocals and Harp
Pete Gale, guitars
Jeff Read, bass
Stephen "Cupsey" Cutmore, drums
Hair of the Dog a hard hitting power/blues combo, I left this band in November 2007 to help form Hokie Joint. Since then their guitarist Big Pete Gale has sadly passed away. Hair of The Dog played their last gig at The Sutton Arms in Southend on 7th March 2009 as a tribute to Big Pete. The place was packed ..
