I started with 15 practicing with the turntables and quickly got into the fast growing techno scene in Germany. After some years I got mainly influenced by the work of Richie Hawtin and Jeff Mills - known for producing their tracks with samples of different drums and instruments. Searching for the origin of those I found them again in the Latin music such like the Cuban Son or Merengue. It was time to plan the next vacation, so why not to go to the Dominican Republic?
The Caribbean experience not only was mind opening, it also changed my life completely. I was falling in love with a music introduced to me as "Spanish Reggae" - but correctly called Reggaeton. I got problems to find Reggaeton on Vinyl, so I started to built up my CD collection and working with CD Turntables. After I played the first time Reggaeton in publicity and got loads of positive feedback I keep on pushing it to the next levels
It's a hard game - almost nobody here knows Reggaeton - But the number of fans is growing day by day and the parties are hotter than the Caribbean sun ;-)ya tu sabes! DJ Denis Maurizio - activando el genero en Alemania
