About Me

The Understudies . . . their roots go back a long time as the members have all been in the scene for many years and have played or are playing in bands such as The Kentucky Luckies, Yardshaker, Babylove & The Van Dangos, The Marvins, Redlight Rumble, Horns of Babylon and more.The Understudies were formed in october 2004 in the beginning just to play covers of old ska standards, but they soon realised that they had formed something that had potential for much more. The Understudies mix their love of the original Jamaican sound with influences from 60Â´s soul, doo wop, rocksteady and the never ending feeling of true love and heartaches . . cant live without it!
